It’s a good year to be a yaoi fan, they say, and the recent announcement of Shungiku Nakamura’s 18th volume of hit series Junjou Romantica can only support this claim.
I say that it’s also a pretty damn good year to be Shungiku Nakamura herself, to be honest, what with the Hybrid Child anime airing next season, the Sekaiichi Hatsukoi movie coming out and now, this.
Naturally I’m excited, even if the show itself is kind of… questionable. Also it feels like they just copy-pasted the characters and gave them a sligthly different colour palette and the semes look about 40+ which is weird. Also. Their jaws. Whatever man, it’s a guilty pleasure even if I’m more of a Sekaiichi Hatsukoi fan.
Studio DEEN will animate it and the date has yet to be set, although I assume it will be somewhere early next year.
In case you’ve been living under an anti-yaoi rock, Junjou Romantica tells the love story of three couples, Romantica, Egoist and Terrorist. Please don’t ask me why they call them that, they just do. Cheers I guess.
