And thus I say hello to the first anime of the Sunday “N’s” and boy, what a dissapointing Sunday it’s been.
I can’t say I really cared for Nobunagun before it’s pilot episode, but things happened and I ended up on the train somehow.
Oh man, what a dull, uninteresting, predictable and boring show this is.
Yeah, here we go.
I could predict every episode hereafter and I’m almost sure that I won’t be wrong. Never have I seen a show so mediocre as this one. It’s not good by any stretch, but it’s not overwhelmingly bad either.
The premise is something we’ve seen a hundred times before, and Nobunagun doesn’t seem like it wants to change it’s direction any time soon.
On a better note, the heroine is pretty cool when she doesn’t play her ditzy schoolgirl lesbian-or-not archetype; I mean, she’s an otaku for everything military, which is awesome.
And the use of colours and patterns are pretty interesting.
But despite that, it doesn’t even feel like they’re trying, and all in all it’s just kind of tiring to watch.
I will probably drop this, and stick with the other, better Nobunaga anime of the season.
