And now, three episodes in, I’m loving this. Yes it’s ridiculous, yes I absolutely despise the animation (Are they trying to pull a SHAFT or..?) yes Nice is easily the most annoying character of the season, and above all, man, how cliché can you actually get?
I can complain all I want, but truth to be told, I’m really liking this.
Hamatora seems to be slowly stepping it’s game up, and apart for Nice and Art, I fell in love with the other characters, giving Murasaki the husband of the season award (It’s decided.) while simuntanously giving us plenty of questionable interactions for shipping purposes. Hey, I’m into this kind of thing, don’t blame me.
And even apart from all that, there is one thing that Hamatora does succeed in; Giving me a bunch of nostalgic feels.
That’s right, Hamatora takes a pretty old-school approach in things, and I really appreciate that…even if it had the worst premiere of the season.
I will keep watching this, even if it’s just for Murasaki, BirthdayxRatio and Art’s hair that should not exist.
