The Rigtheous Three-Episode-Rule Of Doom. Summer 2014 “First” Impressions: Aldnoah.Zero.

And here we one of the three season-favourites: Aldnoah.Zero, brought to you by the Urobuchi and Ei Aoiki.

This show? It’s slow, very slow. The characters are mighty unappeling except for maybe the tragic hero whose name I don’t even know (Anyway, it’s the bishie in the picture above) and the princess. Maybe.

Alright, I can kind of understand the hype, it’s a show that actually takes itself seriously and it has bigass fighting robots and, again, it’s written by Urubuchi. Maybe the CGI isn’t as jarring as it normally is and the concept is pretty cool.

But why, why do I find myself not caring at all? Is it because of the huge cast? The annoying MC? The bland character design? The pacing?

Whatever, I suppose it’ll get interesting once our two (three?) main characters meet, something that’s gonna happen in the next episode (hopefully), so I’ll stay positive and, for what it’s worth, it’s really not a bad show, I just don’t feel for it or the characters per se, yet.
