The Rigtheous Three-Episode-Rule Of Doom Spring 2015 “First” Impressions: Plastic Memories.

Here´s to an anime exactly no one expected to be anywhere near as good as it actually is – but I guess having a Key rip-off story with an autistic and tragic girl main character is the cheat to victory ever since Evangelion. Hey Tumblr, please don´t kill me.

Ableist comments aside, I really like Plastic Memories – or at least, I really liked (and cried over) the first episode, the second sligthly less and the third…well, I´ll hope it doesn´t continue to fall down this spiral from potential tearjerker to the pit of mediocrity.

If you told me Plastic Memories was created by Key, I wouldn´t be surprised – shockingly, it´s not, but it has about as much drama, and I think that´s great. My problem is that the show has a severe personality disorder, as it switches from drama to comedy real quick, and it just doesn´t work. You´re not Angel Beats, Plastic Memories, don´t be that white guy wearing dreadlocks, ´cause you´ll just look stupid.

That said, the first episode gave me some real hope for this show, despite the two episodes thereforward declining, I´ll hold on that that glimmering bit of light at the end of the tunnel, hoping for me to be crying. We´re all just a bunch of masochists.

Ps: this show looks amazing.
