I´ll be honest and say I only clicked the link because of the Haru look-a-like on the cover and because Madhouse is adapting an otome game.
Atsuko Ishizuka, responsible for Sakurasou and No Game No Life, will direct the series, while Haikyuu´s script writer Taku Kishimoto will handle the composition. The anime is set to air in January of 2016.
If you´re as surprised as I am over the fact that the anime equivalent of alternative music studio Madhouse is adapting an anime about pretty boys sweating while doing sports and seems to have a reverse harem thing going on, well, let´s be confused together.
Prince of Stride apparently tells the story of a sports named Stride, which is apparently very dangerous and apparently nobody wants to play it. Enter Takeru Fujiwara and Nana Sakurai, two first year highschool students who want to restart the Stride club for the End of Summer race – after getting rejected by some dude called Riko, the two drag him to the club room anyway. The preview with some pretty lush colours and animation can be seen here.
I´ve always wondered what Madhouse would´ve done with something like Free!, so I would be lowkey excited, but then I look at the tragedy that is Aoharu x Kikanjuu and I´d rather be suspicious of it. Aoharu x Kikanjuu gives me trust issues.
