In a hilarious turn of events, A World Where The Concept Of Dirty Jokes Doesn´t Exist seems to predict the future after the Japanese BPO Watchdog Group received a number of complaints over the late night anime for being vulgar. A late night anime just got slammed for being vulgar. This actually happened.
One of the complaints cited being angry over the gestures and dirty puns that even children could decipher despite the actual line being censored with sound effects, apparently the respective parents must´ve taken the title of the anime a little too literally for them to be surprised. Personally, I think it might be a bit more concerning your kids are up late enough to watch this and complain about it.
The BPO Watchdog Group also received complaints over the anime PriPara and it´s ending theme, which has a scene where the characters are wearing bathing suits, this was deemed not only unnecessary, but also inconsiderate as “there are a lot of child predators out there.”
If you thought the stream of animu complaints ends there, you´re dead wrong, because some people also found it innapropiate for a lottery commercial to use a childrens anime character in its commercial – this last one a little more understandable, my salty morning was made a little better with the irony of Shimoneta getting complaints for being too dirty for the innocent youths.
