Hollywood´s Ghost In The Shell Adaptation Set To Start Filming In Early 2016.

422  According to Scarlet Johansson at the Avengers: Age Of Ultron press conference, filming for the Dreamworks adaptation of the anime classic Ghost In The Shell will start filming early 2016 – “[…] I think we start production January or February and it’s me and Rupert [Sanders];  that’s all I know.” she says.

in 2007, Production I.G pitched the rights for the film, which got bough by Dreamworks later in 2008 after Steven Spielberg expressed his admiration for the film and its themes, despite this, Ruper Sanders will direct it, scripted by Avi Arad and produced by Steven Paul and Mark Sourian.

Disney scheduled the film for April 2017.

The question remains wheter or not Hollywood will do the film justice – though I think it´s pretty obvious they´re gonna dumb it down to yet another badass-girl-film with lots of unecessary explosions and pseudo-epic speeches, hey, it´s not like they´re targeting anime fans, so why keep it philosophical, right? one way or another, I´m expecting yet another Hollywood action flick and nothing more.
