A PV has been released (watch here) together with some background information; Nothing too vital though.
Same director, same composer, same character designer, same voice actors, not the same studio.
Yeah, instead of Brain’s Base, Studio Shuka is going to take over. Haven’t heard of Studio Shuka?
Good, ’cause neither have I.
I don’t expect a huge budget to be put seeing that Shuka is a pretty new studio (correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this might be their first show) created by Durarara!!’s director, but still.
Now what really gets me is the fact that, um, I don’t know, the anime ended exactly where the series is supposed to get awesome(er)? I mean, I’ve read a bit of the novel myself and jesus, am I on the hype train.
Especially if your only complaint is the fact that the three most uninteresting characters got the most focus, which is understandable; I would be annoyed aswell if this wasn’t one of my first anime to fall head over heels in love with.
I mean, I kind of gave up on the idea of a second season a while ago, so when I read this I kind of freaked out; More shameless shipping? more Izaya? more Celty? Yessir, count me in!
Anyway and anyhow; No date has been set so I think it’s fair to expect this to come out late this year or early next. Ahh, it’s a good time to be an anime fan.
