The Summer season is going great. In my opinion. By great I don’t mean that every single show was oozing of amazing-ness, by ‘great’ I mean that there were a few shows that carried the rest and made this season worth it.
Free! Eternal Summer is coming to a great end and Watanabe prooved yet again what anime can do, meanwhile Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, Barakamon & Love Stage!! won the title of darkhorses of the season. Hype machine Akame Ga Kill showed us just where the anime community is standing and DRAMAtical Murder taught us to never hope for a BL adaptation ever again unless it isn’t adapted from a Nitro-Chiral game. Also Sailor Moon happened, but that’s bullshit.
With that said, we can get hype for the Fall season, which has quite the diversity in comparison to other seasons. No, seriously, we have our light novel harem fantasy trash, Kyoani trash, shoujo trash, fujoshi trash, Fate Stay Night trash, Ghilbi trash and the savior of anime: Psycho Pass.
Hey, I’m just playin’ with’cha.
I don’t know what the hell this is and, after seeing the promo poster I don’ t care to know, either. I was going to put this in the Kiddie-trash tier but I realized that there are only three shows that would fit in there and if I were to put the ‘Godlike‘ Detective Conan anywhere near the word ‘trash’ my blog would spontanously burn down. Somehow. Anyway if you liked the previous two seasons of this I guess you should get hype.
Will I watch it? Why.
Magic Kaito 1412.
Again, I have never ever ever seen Detective Conan and my only knowledge of the thing is that there’s some megane man in a child’s body and he apparantly bangs Kaito every night. I’m sure some of you nostalgic folks will appreciate this. I’m not one of them.
Will I watch it? Nah.
Akatsuki No Yona.
If this is the Fall season’s equivalent of Soredemo Sekai Whatever (You know what I’m talkin’ about – that one show where a girl marries a shota king) then I’m not sure if I’m interested. I really only watched Soredemo because I had the time, but now… eh. It doesn’t look offensively bad, just generic.
Will I watch it? I’ll try.
Amagi Brilliant Park.
The blonde lady in the end looks like a that girl from Hyouka. Honestly I’ve never really honestly hated a Kyoani show. Kyokai No Kanata was pretty shit, though. This looks a bit more anime-y and harem-y than anything else they have produced, but I’m sure that I’ll like it, somehow. If anything, the dude looks pretty.
Will I watch it? Yes, definitely.
Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo.
What. What the fuck is this.
It sounded epic, so naturally I became wary seeing that this is in fact anime and this is in fact Sunrise. After looking it I have seen more tits and lolis than both my hands can count. I’m backflipping out of this. The CGI looks awful, too.
Will I watch this? Are you kidding me?
Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai.
I’m not sure why companies settle with shitty VN adaptations when they could be doing something cool. I have nothing to say about this, it just looks trashy. Also, library club? what the fuck is a library club? God damn.
Will I watch this? I’d rather swallow needles.
Denki-gai no Honya-san.
Well this looks cute. Still not wasting my time on this unless it’s a short though. Reminds me of Working!! except in a bookstore. I’m also curious as to what ‘youthful bookstore comedy’ implies. This is completely unrelated to the anime but why do Asians have to be so detailed about everything?
Will I watch this? Nah.
Donten Ni Warau.
I read a few chapters of the manga a while back, it was pretty good. I think this will be one my favourites of the season. Also Dogakobo never dissapoints.
Will I watch this? Yes.
Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works.
DAMN that trailer is good. This is the one everyone is hype for. I’m sure it’ll be the biggest hit of the season and I’m sure people are gonna love it, but if you’re like me and you haven’t finished the first season yet, cheers.
Will I watch this? I’ll watch it sometime in the future.
Garo: Honoo No Kakuin.
I’m not so sure. On one hand it’s studio Mappa, the studio that brought us Zankyo No Terror, but on the other hand it looks mostly-CGI and it’s adapted from a tokatsu show. I have expressed my dislike over CGI in anime before, but the story looks pretty cool. Ah, I’m conflicted.
Will I watch this? I will try it out, I guess.
This looks so stupidly amazing I feel like I may just turn into a 40 year old business man who plays dating sims for a hobby. I have heard that the game has over 60 girls, we can only hope to see a harem with 60 haremettes. I’m also a bit scared.
Will I watch this? Hell yeah.
Grisaia no Kajitsu
Apparently this is adapted from a hentai gore game. Kind of like DRAMAtical Murder except it’s not gay. Unfortunately. Still, the designs look as generic as generic can be and the plot sounds weird as hell. Nevertheless I’ve heard interesting things about it, so meh, I’m not expecting anything.
Will I watch it? I’ll try.
This is, like, a pimped up version of Kamisama Hajimemashita. TMS also produced Inari Kon Kon Koi Iroha which has a similar vibe to this one, so I’m sure this will be good.
Will I watch this? Sure.
I honestly don’t care.
Will I watch it? I have never seen anything related to Gundam so naaaaaaah.
Hitsugi No Chaika Second Season
Will I watch it? nah.
Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de
This looks like the most generic show out of the entire chart (for now) and honestly I wouldn’t have given it any thought if the name TRIGGER wasn’t attached to it. It doesn’t feel like their kind of thing at all, which is exactly why I want to watch it even if spikey haired shonen looks exactly like every other shounen MC ever.
Will I watch it? Suuure.
What is this.
Will I watch it? What the fuck is this.
One: I fucking hate these kind of horror stories, because I think it’s fucking gross. I never get scared with horror, but I’d rather not throw up after episode, thank you. Of course I want to watch because it’s Madhouse and I’ve heard good stuff about this, but no, just, no.
Will I watch this? Doubt it.
Log Horizon Season 2
Will I watch this? Nah.
Madan no Ou to Vanadis
Is this Akame Ga Kill.
Will I watch this? No.
Part 2 will be up soon!
